2018 Midget Fall Classic U16 Division Champion: Boston Advantage

FOXBORO – In the final game of New England Pro-Am Hockey’s 2018 season, Boston Advantage remained as the final team standing. They took home the win and the hardware as they defeated the Vermont Flames 3-1 for the tournament’s U16 Division Championship.

Though the Advantage spent much of the contest with control of the puck and on the attack, chances were hard to come by for both squads. Boston did cash in when they needed to, however. After falling behind on a Martin Rudolf goal at 11:47, Connor MacLeod brought Boston back to even on an unassisted score at 16:03.

Even if they could not muster many scoring chances, the relentless Advantage attack was not to be denied in the contest. Braden Lavasseur broke the 1-1 tie with a goal at 23:17 and then Patrick Liddy solidified the victory with a rink-long empty netter at 29:34.

There were a flurry of chances late for the Flames as they pressed to get back in the contest, but all were thwarted by All-Tournament netminder Robbie Starkey, who posted the win from the Advantage net.
