Advantage start Day 2 with win

FOXBORO – In their first of two games on the day, Boston Advantage U18 rallied for a 4-3 win over the Columbus Chill on Sunday morning at Foxboro Sports Center.

Earlier goals from Billy McNally and Kevin Corcoran had Advantage in position to take a small cushion into the game’s second half. That all changed, however, in the final 1:01 before intermission when the Chill snuck two in to get the game back to even at 2-2 heading into the final 25 minutes.

Not only was their lead gone, but Advantage soon found themselves trailing following an Alex Markovich score 5:22 into the latter half. Yet, as their opponents had done to them, the Advantage did not let the Chill lead last with a pair of quick strikes of their own. On goals from Ben Shields at 12:16 and then Matt Treiber 1:11 later, Boston had reclaimed the lead at 4-3, a lead they held through the remainder of the contest.

With two goals for Columbus, Markovich finished as the game’s only multi-point scorer.
