Hitmen blank Terriers

FOXBORO – The Rhode Island Hitmen opened their U18 slate at the 2016 Midget Fall Classic in the right way, posting a 4-0 victory over the Boston Jr. Terriers on Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The Hitmen did not wait long to start their assault on the Terriers, Cam Duprey opening the scoring just 2:04 after the game’s opening face-off.

In the end, Duprey’s tally was all the Hitmen needed, but that did not stop them from adding another pair before the end of the first half. Jacob Studley and Peter Krekorian netting the scores at 12:15 and 13:28, respectively, to up the Rhody advantage to 3-0 by halftime.

Not as much, but there was more Hitmen in the second. Tyler Gustafson coming up with the score at 7:33 to cement the 4-0 victory.

Krekorian led all scorers with a goal and two assists, while Studley (1G, 1A) also contributed a multipoint contest. Goaltender Curtis Briggs was credited with the shutout in net for the Hitmen.
